Heidi & Andy

It's always a joy to photograph a friend's wedding! I've had the pleasure of knowing the bride's family for a long time. All her cousins, aunts, uncles, and extended family attend the same church - and while I didn't have the opportunity to get to know Heidi until this past year, I've known her kindness and sweet personality through her mom and sister. We've worked together in our church's children's ministry, sung together in the choir, and worshiped together for over a decade! Now, I get to see Heidi and her family enter a new chapter of their lives as Andy becomes a member of the family and I couldn't be happier for them!

The first time I met Heidi & Andy was during their engagement session at Anderson Township Civic Center. The lush gardens, beautiful hardscapes, and peaceful water features made it a perfect venue for their pictures. They had picked it for their reception venue and showed me around their favorite spots along the property. It is a beautiful place, filled with light and artistic details that lend to the open feel of the interior space. The natural light from the gardens completely fills the atrium space where the reception was hosted. Especially when filled with the love of family and friends, it makes a magical location for a wedding reception.

Heidi & Andy chose beautiful details for their special day. Gorgeous succulents accented the beautiful bouquets carried by Heidi and her bridesmaids. Delicate jeweled hair accents adorned each of the bridesmaid's heads and glittered in the sunlight as they posed for pictures. Even the soft coloring of the bridal party gowns were beautiful! A luxurious tiffany blue was chosen for the bridesmaids, complimenting the charcoal grey of the groomsmen's tuxedos. Even the coral peach of the junior bridesmaids gowns picked up the delicate pinks and corals in the roses of the flowers.

Heidi's dress was gorgeous! She looked radiant with the sweeping train flowing behind her. Lilies and ivory roses accented with soft green eucalyptus gave her ensemble an amazing summer beauty that was captured throughout the day. Even the delicate jewel accents along the edge of her veil and dress sparkled!

The bride's family played a part in nearly every element of Andy & Heidi's day. Cousins sang songs of love and commitment during the ceremony. Her aunt played the grand piano announcing Heidi's entrance into the church. Nieces filled the roles of junior bridesmaids and flower girls... And just as one little flower girl decided to steal the show, Heidi's sister (and the flower girl's aunt) scooped her up to save the day!

I just love taking pictures of the littles in a wedding party! Each sweet girl was so precious and funny! They absolutely stole the show with their sweet smiles and beauty. Accompanied by their handsome ringbearer escort, each of the kids made a wonderful contribution to the wedding. They were just awesome!

It is always a privilege to capture a couple's wedding day, but this family made it so wonderful! The love and joy they share with each other, their friends, and extended family is overwhelming and beautiful.

Andy, you've won the heart of a wonderful woman. Heidi, you have found the one whom your soul loves. Thank you so much for having me capture your big day! You were so beautiful and I cannot wait for you to enjoy these photos! God bless you two - and many happy, fun-filled, years be ahead of you!
