Historic Batavia engagement

Summertime heat definitely hit in time for this engagement session. I was either wondering if there would be rain or if the heat will be too oppressive. But this time, everything worked out perfectly! I met Jenny & Charles near a sweet little boutique in historic downtown Batavia... and what a beautiful surprise this location turned out to be! Not only are Jenny & Charles the friendliest, kindest people you could ever wish to meet, but it was like meeting old friends... What a blessing it was getting to know them!

Every bit of this session was a joy to capture! This sweet couple kept me laughing and were so willing to put up with this crazy photographer's random ideas and alleyway captures. We even met a super sweet resident of one of the historic homes who kindly offered us the use of a nearby whitewashed garage - this photographer's dream come true! Jenny & Charles were total pros with their posing! Jenny is going to be absolutely stunning on her wedding day! And Charles totally surprised me by how quickly he caught on to my posing cues! He was ready before I even had to give him instruction! He's definitely a keeper!

What was especially fun was that Charles brought along his Harley... and man! What a beautiful bike! Since traffic was slow while we were on the main street, we were able to capture some awesome photos of Jenny & Charles hanging out on Charles' "hog"! So much fun!

This location was so amazing! Beautiful architecture, perfect sunshine, and cool breezes to break up the heat... All that and more made this engagement session awesome. I walked away smiling after getting to know these two amazing people, and I cannot wait for their September wedding day!
