Lauren & Brandon are Engaged!

This was definitely a session I'd be waiting a few years to finally schedule! It's always so exciting when a good friend's daughter is getting married - it's even more exciting when you're the one they ask to capture their memories! I am over-the-moon happy for this beautiful couple... they are just the sweetest!

Lauren's mom and I have been friends for a while now and she told me: when Lauren gets married, she wanted me to take the pictures. Of course, I hoped Lauren wanted me to take the pictures too because Lauren is a total sweetheart and it would be a thrill to take her photos!

After Brandon's epic proposal on top of a mountain in the Smoky Mountains, Lauren reached out and we scheduled their beautiful engagement photo session at the always lovely Sharon Woods.

Lauren and Brandon are just so complementary to each other. He's her rock and she's his gentle side. He's truly a thoughtful, caring guy - he even folded the blanket I brought along for photos - and he definitely had her on his mind the whole time we took photos. I loved getting to know them better, especially watching him make Lauren laugh and seeing the two of them smile at each other!
