A Beautiful Parkland Wedding

What a beautiful weekend for a wedding! It could have been a bit cooler, but that simply wouldn't be in keeping with the way things seem to work out for Chuck & Jenny! When I first met them for their amazing engagement session in historic Batavia, Ohio, we faced a very humid, very sticky summer day. But didn't we luck out, though! Their session was fantastic and working with these two was just incredible! I think I can honestly say, it was like meeting friends for a fun afternoon, they're just so sweet!

So I'm guessing God saw how well they dealt with the heat on their engagement session that He allowed some late summer heat to grace their wedding day. It was a touch too hot, but I don't think it bothered them... nothing could spoil the love and romance that filled their day.

Chuck & Jenny have one of those sweet romances that just proves how life can come full circle if you're willing to wait for the right person. Jenny's sister knew Chuck from school and, despite diverging paths early in life, time and fate found a way to bring these two precious people together.

One thing that was very evident throughout their day was the love they and their families share. Family was everywhere. Jenny's brothers and sister, her sweet mom and dad, Chuck's sister and her family, his daughter and son... they all played such a central part in telling the story of their love. It was so touching to see Jenny's brothers escort their mom to her seat for the ceremony, to watch her dear dad meet her at the top of the aisle to walk her the rest of the way, and to hear their toasts at the reception. They really defined what love means and put on display how their family played such an integral role in making their union something truly special.

Pattison Park Lodge was the perfect backdrop for this amazing couple. Each detail from their wedding day fit in perfectly with the love and interests Chuck & Jenny share. Everywhere you looked, there was a small piece of who they are reflected in the decorations, the food choices, and the songs they danced to.

I had a tough time limiting my photo selections for this blog, but I hope you'll enjoy a glimpse of this beautiful day as much as I enjoyed capturing it! Chuck & Jenny, meeting you that hot summer day was such a joy for me... and capturing your sweet wedding day was the perfect way to end summer. You are two of the kindest, loveliest people.
